  6. Curb the Impulse to Interrupt: Let the speaker finish their thoughts.

  7. Ask Questions: Asking a clarifying question at the right time is different from interrupting and shows you are engaged.

  8. Summarize & Evaluate: Do this after the speaker is finished, not while they are still talking.
